Purpose | To ensure a consistent approach to the selection of internal transfer students across the faculties of Monash University. It is also designed to create greater consistency between internal transfers and students entering via other pathways.

Scope | All Monash undergraduate students |
Policy Statement | The minimum criteria for currently enrolled Monash students to be eligible to apply for an internal course transfer are that they meet the restrictions and requirements listed below:
- Successful completion of units totaling at least 12 points in a Monash University course;
- satisfactory completion of the relevant course prerequisite requirements for the new course;
- performance at an appropriate level in the existing course.
The faculty to which the student is applying to transfer will determine what is an appropriate level of performance. The appropriate level may depend upon both the current course and the course applied for.
